Transfer Rater: Harry Kane to Man City, Karim Benzema to PSG

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Harry Kane to Manchester City

This is what happens when you are a top club but your excellent young team has failed to win a trophy: the vultures begin to circle. Kane has long been a target for Manchester United and Real Madrid but, according to Diario Gol in Spain, Pep Guardiola is a planning to test the North Londoners' resolve this summer with a £200 million bid. It's believed the Catalan boss sees him as the missing piece of his Manchester City attack and the league leaders can offer higher wages and a chance to finally win some silverware.

Karim Benzema to Paris Saint-Germain

As Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid prepare for a busy summer, looking to usher in a new generation of Galacticos, Benzema could be the first to face the axe. Spanish newspaper AS report the 30-year-old could leave the Bernabeu with PSG lining up a big-money bid. They also say Monaco, Marseille and his boyhood club Lyon are interested in the former France international. But none of those sides have the funds to challenge the Parisian giants for his signature.

Geoffrey Kondogbia to Liverpool

Despite making 20 league appearances on loan at Valencia this season, Kondogbia's future is unclear. The Spanish side paid €10m to loan him from Inter Milan and have the option to make the deal permanent for €25m in the summer. Marca report that even if they qualify for the Champions League, it would be too big a strain on their resources to complete the deal. With fears over losing Emre Can, Don Balon suggest Liverpool are in pole position to step in for the dynamic central midfielder as Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the Frenchman.

Vincent Thill to West Ham United

After declaring he would decide his own future in the summer, David Moyes has given the biggest hint he will remain in charge at the London Stadium, according to the Daily Express. They suggest the Scottish boss has earmarked a number of talented youngsters, with Metz's 18-year-old midfielder Thill high on his wish-list. Although he has made just one appearance in Ligue 1 this term, he has 11 caps for Luxembourg and is highly regarded by the French side.

Emre Can to Real Madrid

The pursuit of the German midfielder had always looked like being a straight tug-of-war between Liverpool and Juventus. Now, according to Tuttosport, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real have thrown their hats into the ring. The 24-year-old is keeping his options open but, as the Spanish side look to rebuild for next season, the pull of Zidane and the Santiago Bernabeu could prove too strong. As Can will move on a free he will also pick up a bumper wage packet from the highest bidder.
