Transfer Rater: Marcos Rojo to PSG, Kalidou Koulibaly to Arsenal

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Marcos Rojo to Paris Saint-Germain

Ligue 1 leaders PSG are reportedly looking to capitalise on Rojo's contract situation at Manchester United to bring the versatile defender to France in a cut-price deal. The 27-year-old's deal expires in the summer of 2019 and, much to the annoyance of Jose Mourinho, Rojo has made it clear that he doesn't want to extend his stay at Old Trafford after negotiations hit a brick wall. Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest the Argentina International could sold for £30 million when the transfer window reopens.

Memphis Depay to AC Milan

Calciomercato claim Depay is a top target for AC Milan this summer as Serie A's sleeping giants look to bolster their attacking options. The 24-year-old has impressed for Lyon since signing for them in January 2017. The form he's shown this season, scoring 12 goals in 34 appearances, is similar to how he was performing before his failed big-money move to Manchester United.

Kalidou Koulibaly to Arsenal

After failing to sign Virgil van Dijk or Jonny Evans, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly identified Koulibaly as being the man to strengthen his defensive options. The Napoli centre-back has been linked to Premier League clubs for a number of years now, with both Chelsea and Liverpool showing an interest in him. According to various Italian outlets, Arsenal sent scouts to watch the 26-year-old during Napoli's Europa League match against RB Leipzig recently.

Julian Weigl to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola is keen to raid the Bundesliga once again, according to reports in the Daily Mirror. Manchester City are in the market for a defensive midfielder and feel Borussia Dortmund's Weigl is the ideal candidate to fill that role. It is believed the German club want £40m for the 22-year-old and the Premier League leaders are eager to complete the deal before the 2018 World Cup, fearing a good performance there will only see that price increase.

Josip Ilicic to Everton

Sam Allardyce is already planning for next season and top of his list of potential targets is Ilicic. Despite signing many several attacking midfielders last summer, Everton are in dire need of creativity behind the striker and the 30-year-old Atalanta playmaker fits the bill. Reports in Calciomercato suggest the Premier League side have sent scouts to watch the Slovenia international a number of times in recent months.
