Transfer Rater: Arthur to Barcelona, Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk  for all the latest gossip.

Arthur to Barcelona

Barcelona look set to be rewarded for their lengthy pursuit of Gremio midfielder Arthur. The Catalan club sent two representatives, Andre Cury and Robert Fernandez, to Brazil in December. Leaked images of Arthur in a Barcelona shirt soon after their visit were not well received by Gremio but the 21-year-old will move to the Camp Nou in January 2019, according to Mundo Deportivo. Twenty percent of his economic rights are owned by third-party investor Celso Rigo, which will complicate negotiations, while a further 20 percent belong to the player.

Max Meyer to Bayern Munich

Bundesliga champions-elect Bayern Munich have already agreed to sign Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka on a free transfer when his contract ends this summer. Now they are after his teammate Meyer. The 22-year-old German international is also out of contract the Veltins-Arena and, according to Tuttosport, he will snub interest from Milan -- among others -- follow Goretzka to the Allianz Arena this summer. He had previously been linked with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Oguzhan Ozyakup to Arsenal

After a busy January transfer window, Arsenal will waste no time bolstering their squad further this summer by re-signing former academy prospect Ozyakup from Turkish side Besiktas. According to Football.London, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has spoken to the 25-year-old about a return to the club where he played just 27 minutes of first-team football before leaving on a free transfer in 2012. Arsenal are expected to pay around £11 million for Ozyakup after agreeing to waive their right to a 30 per cent sell-on clause.

Andrija Zivkovic to Manchester United

Benfica winger Zivkovic is the latest European starlet to have caught the attention of the Premier League's big boys having already been subject of Arsenal transfer rumours. The 21-year-old is now on the radar of Manchester United, according to The Sun, with scouts from Jose Mourinho's staff watching his last two games against Rio Ave and Portimonense. The Serbian international has scored twice in 18 appearances in all competitions for Benfica this season.

Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United

Left at home as Tottenham came from 2-0 down to draw against Juventus in the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday, the Belgian defender is gradually working his way back from a hamstring injury. That hasn't stopped him being linked with a move away from Tottenham, however. According to the Daily Mail, Alderweireld is a Manchester United target. The 28-year-old is contracted until 2020 but there is a clause in his deal which means he can leave for £25m next summer. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will not want to reach that point without a new agreement being struck.
