Arsenal to renew interest in Lemar
Despite seeing a £92 million deal for Thomas Lemar fall through on deadline day, Arsenal will return for the Monaco midfielder in January.
The Gunners were desperate to sign the 21-year-old as a replacement for Manchester City-bound Alexis Sanchez, but according to various reports, the player requested more time to make a final decision and Arsenal held on to their Chilean superstar.
The Daily Star now claims that a five-year contract worth £250,000-a-week has been agreed with the France international, whose arrival would soften the blow of Sanchez's inevitable departure.
It has also been reported that Arsenal could have signed Lemar for £30 million cheaper earlier in the summer, but hesitated due to doubts over his commercial value.
Pedro on Juventus radar
Chelsea forward Pedro has emerged as a target for Juventus as they look to strengthen their attacking options in January.
The Italian champions face fierce competition to retain their title from the likes of Napoli, Roma, AC Milan and Inter Milan, and reportedly see the former Barcelona man as a key addition to maintain their advantage in Serie A.
According to TalkSport, Chelsea will resist Juventus' interest after manager Massimiliano Allegri earmarked Pedro for the No. 10 role behind Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala.
The 30-year-old contributed nine goals and nine assists playing predominantly on the right last season as Antonio Conte's side raced to the Premier League trophy.
West Ham to return for Carvalho
Given the reported legal battle that is about to ensue between West Ham's owners and the directors at Sporting Lisbon, it might come as a surprise that the Hammers have been linked with a renewed bid for William Carvalho in January.
The two clubs were some way apart in their valuation of the midfielder during the summer, with Sporting denying that West Ham ever made an offer before a series of leaked emails looked to disprove their claim.
Regardless of the heated public fallout surrounding Carvalho's situation, The Sun quotes a West Ham source as saying the transfer could be resurrected when the window reopens.
It's thought that Carvalho would be keen on the move, although that may depend on whether Slaven Bilic's side can lift themselves off the foot of the table before Christmas.

- According to The Sun, Tottenham missed out on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Isco in 2012 because Andre Villas-Boas was unconvinced about the duo. The story quotes La Liga journalist and ESPN FC writer Graham Hunter, who claims that Villas-Boas turned down both players despite Daniel Levy's willingness to open talks with their representatives.
