Transfer Rater: Carvalho to West Ham, Marco Asensio to Barcelona

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Samir Nasri to Antalyaspor

Nasri has emerged as the latest summer target for Turkish outfit Antalyaspor according to reports in The Sun. The Manchester City playmaker has fallen out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola but impressed while on loan with Sevilla. The Turkish side are looking to add the ex-Arsenal man to their ranks to go alongside Samuel Eto'o and Jeremy Menez.

William Carvalho to West Ham United

West Ham are set to break their transfer record again this summer in an attempt to bring one-time Manchester City transfer target Carvalho to the club. The Daily Mail claim Slaven Bilic's men have put together a package worth £25 million that they feel could tempt Lisbon giants Sporting into parting with their influential midfielder.

Sam Field to Norwich City

The Daily Express revealed that West Brom had rejected a number of loan bids for teenage winger Field, but that they will let the player leave after they have signed midfield reinforcements this summer. Norwich are thought to be leading the chase for 19-year-old Field as they look to fill the void left by Jacob Murphy's departure to Newcastle United this summer.

Yerry Mina to Barcelona

According to AS, Barcelona hope to speed up the timeline of Mina's arrival from Palmeiras. The Colombian centre-back had been expected to join the club in January 2018 after the Catalan club agreed to pay his £7.1m release clause. But a combination of Palmeiras' run in the Copa Libertadores potentially coming to a premature end and Real Sociedad refusing to budge on their £30m valuation of defender Inigo Martinez, a move for Mina may occur this month.

Marco Asensio to Barcelona

Barcelona haven't had the best time in their attempts to spend the money received from the sale of Neymar. A bid of £90m for Philippe Coutinho was turned down and Borussia Dortmund are demanding close to £120m for Ousmane Dembele. However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim the Catalan side now view Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio as the ideal replacement for the Brazilian. The report suggests Ernesto Valverde's side are willing to trigger his £72m release clause and would offer the 21-year-old regular playing minutes.
