A £57m offer has been rejected by the Bundesliga side, with Ralph Hasenhüttl keen to keep the Guinean for their own assault on Europe's top competition.

Inter Milan are also reportedly keen to enter the bidding and could trump any offer from the Reds by offering the 22-year-old back on loan for a season.

Chelsea's monster Higuain bid rejected

Everton have outlined their ambitions with a flurry of signings to own the summer transfer window.

The England international, who is seen as a replacement for Yannick Bolasie while he recovers, shone in the first half of last season, yet faded down the stretch as Arsenal fell short of a top-four finish.

Moving to Goodison would also put Walcott in the Europa League, but with a greater chance of landing a World Cup squad place due to guaranteed games.

- Juventus will up their interest in Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic next week, while also aiming to get Milan back for signing their defensive talisman Leonardo Bonucci this week, reports Corriere dello Sport.

Massimiliano Allegri is lining up a double move for full-back Mattia De Sciglio and midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who have both slipped down the pecking order after the Rossoneri's summer spending spree.
