Chelsea ready to spend £100m on Alex Sandro, Tiemoue Bakayoko this week

The football world is awash with gossip! Transfer Talk is monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals and potential deals here.

Chelsea line up £100 million double swoop

Not that long after speculation that manager Antonio Conte could quit amid concerns about transfer policy, it's all systems go for Chelsea, the Mirror reports.

The Blues are ready to go for it in a big way, with Juventus full-back Alex Sandro and Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko the first two pieces in what will be a very expensive puzzle.

The Mirror says the Premier League champions "are poised to make Sandro the world's most expensive defender as they launch a £100 million double deal."

It reports that he will move to Stamford Bridge for a fee of around £61m, with Bakayoko "due in England in the next 48 hours to finalise a £37m move."

Once those two deals have been done, Conte will turn his attention to Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk following the collapse of his move to Liverpool and is ready to table a £60m bid.

However, the Mirror warns that Southampton sources "insist that, with Van Dijk still having five years left on his deal and the club having no desire to sell, it could take an offer in excess of £70m to make them reconsider."

Arrivals, though, will also mean Chelsea departures, with sources telling ESPN FC on Sunday that Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Nemanja Matic.

Monaco 'offer Mbappe huge new deal'

He has been linked with Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain since the season ended, but now Monaco are pushing the boat out in their attempt to keep Kylian Mbappe.

French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche reports that Mbappe will be offered an extraordinary new deal that takes his pay from £15,000 a week to £140,000 a week.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a sparkling breakthrough season, scoring 26 goals as Monaco won Ligue 1 and reached the last four of the Champions League, and Madrid are reported to be favourites to sign him.

Le Journal du Dimanche says the Liga champions have already seen a £114 million offer turned down, with Monaco telling Bernabeu officials that they are not willing to sell "for the time being," and a contract extension is still possible.

Meanwhile, the Mirror reports that Monaco intend to keep Mbappe for at least one more year and do not want to see him added to a list of departures that could soon include Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy, Thomas Lemar, Fabinho and Djibril Sidibe.

Tap-ins

-- Hull City full-back Andy Robertson could be working with his former coach Marco Silva again at Watford next season, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

Robertson will quit the Tigers following their relegation from the Premier League and has been linked with Liverpool, Newcastle and Burnley, but the report says Silva is the first manager ready to offer the £8 million wanted for the Scotland international.

-- Leeds United want to re-sign former captain Jonny Howson from Norwich City but have been told that will cost them £5 million, the Mirror reports.

Midfielder Howson has turned down the offer of a new contract with Norwich, whom he joined in 2012, and the Canaries are willing to listen to bids as they look to shake up a squad that failed to challenge for promotion back to the Premier League last season.
