Kylian Mbappe could cost Arsenal €130m; Man United closing on Fabinho

The football world is awash with gossip! Transfer Talk is monitoring the whispers ahead of all the summer moves. Check out the latest deals and potential deals here.

Arsenal may need up to €140 million to sign Mbappe

Arsenal stand a realistic chance of signing Kylian Mbappe from Monaco this summer, the Telegraph reports, but with a €130 million to €140 million price tag on his head, Arsene Wenger could turn to Alexandre Lacazette or Thomas Lemar instead.

Monaco have already rejected a €120m offer for Mbappe from Real Madrid, leaving Arsenal with no choice but to beat it. However, the 18-year-old is said to regard Wenger's prowess for developing young talent highly.

The Gunners' hand could be strengthened by sales, with Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joining Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny on the list of potential departures that would generate funds.

Meanwhile, the Mirror reckons Manchester City are hopeful of beating Chelsea and Bayern Munich to signing Sanchez by making a £50m bid and offering £300,000-a-week wages.

Although Arsenal want to hold on to the Chile international and have offered a £275,000-a-week contract extension, a lack of Champions League football could count against them, especially if, as reported, Pep Guardiola has identified him as City's top target.

Fabinho to Manchester United deal to be announced soon

Jose Mourinho is notorious for getting his transfer business completed early in the window, and, having overseen the arrival of Victor Lindelof, Corriere dello Sport claims that Fabinho will be the next to sign at Manchester United.

The versatile 23-year-old, who is also being sought by Juventus and Inter Milan, is able to play central midfield, right-back or even wing-back and helped Monaco win Ligue 1 last season -- all attributes that are said to have won Mourinho over.

A €35m fee has been agreed between the clubs, with a further €5m due to be paid dependent on goals and appearances, and the move is set to be announced soon.

Chelsea looking to shore up defence

Antonio Conte wants Chelsea to strengthen their defence with the acquisition of either Leonardo Bonucci or Virgil Van Dijk, but the signing of either could prove tricky to complete, according to the Guardian.

Juventus defender Bonucci is 30 years old and would come with a £50m price tag and a lucrative, long-term contract. That would go against Chelsea's policy of offering players of that age extensive deals -- something they even upheld for club legends John Terry and Frank Lampard. Van Dijk, meanwhile, signed a six-year deal with Southampton in 2016 and would not be cheap to prise away from St. Mary's.

Better news for Chelsea fans is that the club are hopeful of signing Alex Sandro from Juventus, while Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku remain on their wanted list.

Tap-ins

-- John Terry has been offered a deal worth more than £4m-a-year from Aston Villa but is holding out for a Premier League contract as he decides his post-Chelsea future. The 36-year-old has been linked with Bournemouth, Swansea and West Brom, as well as Harry Redknapp's Birmingham.

-- The Mail reports that a number of Premier League, Championship and Bundesliga sides are interested in signing Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo on loan next season. Fresh from signing a new four-year contract this week, the 19-year-old will now look to develop by playing regular football and is open to a European move.

-- Middlesbrough will attempt to hold out for £20m from the sale of Ben Gibson, a fee considerably higher than the £12m Stoke have offered. The 24-year-old central defender impressed in his debut Premier League campaign and earned an England call-up.
