Antoine Griezmann laughs off future talk as Spanish journalist tries to get scoop

There was a moment of comedy during Tuesday's France news conference, when an eager Spanish journalist tried his best to get the scoop on Antoine Griezmann's future.

The Atletico Madrid man, who was on media duty alongside Steven N'Zonzi, has been heavily linked with a move to La Liga rivals Barcelona and opened by apologising, stating he would not be revealing his decision regarding his future. However, that apology did not stop Cadena SER's Pedro Morata from doing his best to try and catch Griezmann and French Football Federation (FFF) press officer Philippe Tournon out.

Because of the French language-only policy established by Tournon after Griezmann's opening statement, Morata translated his question into French using his phone and put it to the player via a microphone.

Griezmann laughed as Morata's question about his decision to stay with Atleti or join Barca was audible, but Tournon did not see the funny side of it.

The FFF man shut the question down, reiterating that the news conference would continue in French only, before moving on from Morata to Liberation's Gregory Schneider.

Despite Morata's best efforts, he and the rest of the world will have to wait a little bit longer to discover Griezmann's decision over his future.
