Daniel Sturridge returns stranger's iPhone; urges others to 'do a good deed'

Having missed out on the England World Cup squad, it would appear that Daniel Sturridge is instead spending his summer helping those in need.

The 28-year-old is currently on holiday in the United States, specifically Boston, where he and a fellow accomplice helped reunited a lost phone with its rightful owner.

The Liverpool striker shared a video on Instagram entitled "Good Karma" in which he detailed the events leading to the phone's safe return.

Good karma...

"Walking back from the restaurant last night, I saw a homeless guy running across the street, throwing banter and all that stuff," Sturridge recalled.

"He's like 'I found an iPhone, I found an iPhone, I'm selling it for $20.' So I said: 'Alright, I'm buying it off you.'

"I rang the guy, found out his name is Jack Shea from Boston and I'm leaving his phone at reception.

"The moral of the story is, good karma. You know how many times I've lost my phone and no one's returned it? It's nuts.

"So in future, do a good deed, return someone's phone."

England's loss is truly public service's gain.
