Neymar, Costa, Silva, Coutinho and Brazil flying high before World Cup

To help prepare for the World Cup, the Brazilian national team have set up a training camp high up in the mountains above Rio de Janeiro.

However, with the Granja Comary training centre being some 800 metres above the city with just a narrow winding road connecting the two, the Brazilian football federation have laid on some rather lavish transport for their players.

Neymar, Douglas Costa, Thiago Silva and Philippe Coutinho have all been spotted being helicoptered directly into the town of Teresopolis, mere metres from the door of the team's temporary headquarters.

"I suggested this idea taking to consideration that it's important for the players to be here as soon as possible," explained Edu, former Arsenal midfielder and now general coordinator of the Brazilian national team.

"Many players come from smaller cities and need to go to a bigger city too. [For some] it takes more than 17 hours to get here."

Fair enough.

As for morning commutes, it probably doesn't get much more spectacular than a helicopter ride up into the Regiao Serrana mountains.
