Neymar plays poker as Paris Saint-Germain win Ligue 1 title

While his team Paris Saint-Germain were busy devastating Monaco 7-1 to win a seventh Ligue 1 title, superstar Neymar was playing poker.

Still in Brazil recuperating after surgery on a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to confirm that he was keeping an eye on proceedings at Parc des Princes -- or at least half an eye.

Neymar revealed that he was playing poker during the match but after the final whistle, he once again took to Instagram to congratulate his teammates properly.

"I really wanted to be closer to you guys -- Congratulations! Come on, Paris!"

In Neymar's absence, his father, Neymar Senior, attended the game -- so at least there was some Neymar representation at the title celebrations.

Now that Neymar's recovery is progressing well, he should return to Paris before the end of the month, with Les Parisiens expected to field their No. 10 again before the season finishes.

He was initially expected back in France to watch his team seal the title, but with such a walkover unexpected and a return to action still "about a month away," Neymar opted to remain in South America.
