Martin Minadevino's dreadful foul in Los Andes vs. Brown de Adrogue

To say the recent Argentinian second tier clash between Los Andes and Brown de Adrogue was an ill-tempered affair would be understating the level of brutality on display by quite some distance.

Los Andes won the the match 2-0 but the afternoon was peppered by violence as rival groups of supporters clashed in the stands and Brown saw midfielder Martin Minadevino sent off for a truly horrendous foul.

With just 30 minutes on the clock, Minadevino caught opponent Gustavo Turraca directly in the face with a high-footed challenge that left the latter writhing in agony on the ground.

After the final whistle, Turraca emerged from the dressing room with his injuries on show for all to see, the Los Andes forward sporting large gashes and stud wounds across his neck.

"For those who brand me as having bad intentions, I had the chance to apologise to my colleague in the tunnel," the Brown forward wrote on Twitter.

"In 16 years of playing, this is my first sending off."

For everybody else's sake, here's hoping it's his last too.
