Denmark to wear patchwork shirt in friendly clash with Chile

Ahead of their friendly against Chile on Tuesday night, Denmark have announced that they will be wearing a special unique kit for the occasion,

The Red & Whites will take to the field in Aalborg wearing a custom patchwork shirt, stitched together from old Denmark jerseys -- including the iconic 1986 World Cup kit -- which were donated by fans.

"It's a lot of fun and special," said Age Hareide, Denmark's technical commissioner.

"There is a lot of nostalgia here with the beautiful years of the 80's and 90's, so it's very nice to return to that".

Indeed, the only minor blot on the copybook seems to be that the Danes won't be completing their dashing new outfit with matching patchwork shorts and socks.
