From Neymar to Pogba, football celebrates Valentine's Day

What with it being Valentine's Day, many football clubs decided to use social media to help spread a little love among their fans.

First up, West Ham opted to celebrate by having their players recite a series of cringe-inducing chat-up lines.

Man City and Benjamin Mendy also went heavy on the puns, though with even less success.

Bristol City went with a special Valentines' edition of their trademark GIFs, featuring a stunning central performance from midfielder Marlon Pack.

Gary Neville shared a sweet image of true love.

Continuing the Manchester United theme, Paul Pogba also took the time to pay tribute to the enduring focus of his affections: His hair.

Neymar sent a heartfelt message to his significant other.

Barcelona proved a little self-centred by professing their undying love for... themselves.

And Michy Batshuayi got in on the act, sharing a photo of his date for the evening.

Isn't that nice? And on a Champions League day, what more could a football fan want?
