Zlatan Ibrahimovic movie based upon Man United striker's life in the works

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's legend is about to grow with news that a movie about the Manchester United striker's life story is under development.

It is reported that the film will be based upon his memoirs, entitled "I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic," and will be written by David Lagercrantz, the man who helped pen the book of the same title.

Mattias Nohrborg, a Scandinavian film producer, told Variety that the film will chart Ibrahimovic's rise from his childhood in Malmo, Sweden, all the way through his formative years at Ajax and Juventus.

"Zlatan has had an unbelieving destiny," Nohrborg, who said he knows Ibrahimovic personally, told Variety. "He was brought up in a ghetto where more than 90 percent of the youth end up being delinquents, and he made everything himself, he's completely self-learned."

A script could be ready as early as May and a budget of €5 million has been earmarked to make the movie.

Ibra, who could act as a producer for the project, has been linked with a move to MLS side LA Galaxy recently, so having one eye on Hollywood domination makes sense.

But the logical next question is will any actor be able to portray his larger-than-life personality on the big screen?
