Liverpool fan names baby daughter 'YNWA' in curious tribute to Reds

A lifelong Liverpool fan has paid a significant homage to his beloved football club by naming his newborn daughter in their honour.

Norwegian supporter Kent Solheim, who admits he's never been to Anfield, has gone and named his two-week old baby girl "YNWA".

The 29-year-old struck a deal with his partner Carine to give their first child one name each. She opted for Sofie; he went with a set of four initials.

As such, the pair were able to present little YNWA (pronounced "Unn-wah") Sofie Solheim to the world.

"It started last summer when we knew we were having a girl. I've followed Liverpool all my life so I wanted to call her YNWA," Kent told the Liverpool Echo.

"[Carine] was happy until I told her that I wanted it with a W and then it was a little discussion and she agreed."
