Manchester United favourite Patrice Evra explains all on dodgy coat

Jan. 10 marked the day, 11 years ago, that Patrice Evra joined Manchester United from Monaco in a deal worth around £5.5 million.

The left-back became Sir Alex Ferguson's second defensive acquisition of the 2005-06 January window days after the arrival of Nemanja Vidic. The rest, as they say, is (incredibly successful) history.

Evra also managed to cause a bit of a stir by opting to wear an audacious leather jacket to his grand unveiling. And now over a decade later, the 36-year-old defender has explained his decision to go with the dodgy sheepskin-lined number.

"I'm still trying to find the guys who sold me that jacket, because I think I've been abused and it's not funny at all," joked Evra.

The Frenchman then revealed that he bought the coat on the advice of his agent, who informed him prior to joining United that Manchester is really cold.

To be fair, he's not wrong.
