Wilshere, Cech and Ramsey star as Arsenal celebrate Xmas Jumper Day

The puns were out in force as Arsenal celebrated Christmas Jumper Day on Friday, both to spread a little festive cheer and, more importantly, help raise money for Save the Children.

Several Gunners stars donned their finest seasonal knitwear for the occasion, each complete with a jumper-related pun on the back.

Jack Wilshere became "Jack Woolshere" while Petr Cech became "Sweater Cech" and Aaron Ramsey was re-dubbed "Aaron Lambsey" -- you get the idea.

Arsenal have been heavily involved with the Christmas Jumper Day campaign since 2011, and managed to raise an impressive £2 million last year by selling club-themed sweaters via their official store.

Here's hoping for more of the same this time round.
