Pietro Pellegri's father cries in dugout after Genoa striker's brace vs. Lazio

There were emotional scenes during Genoa's 3-2 defeat to Lazio on Sunday evening when Pietro Pellegri became the youngest player in Serie A history to score two goals in one match.

Aged just 16 years and 184 days old, the prodigious young striker scored both of the Grifone's goals and wrote himself into the history books in the process.

Indeed, it all proved too much for his father Marco Pellegri, who just so happened to be sat in the Genoa dugout and couldn't hold back the tears as he watched his boy make history before his very eyes.

"It's a dream come true that I've had since I was a child. It was an important evening for me and my father," Pellegri the younger told Mediaset after the match.

The two against Lazio weren't even Pellegri's first senior goals for Genoa, with the wunderkind having already found the net against Roma back in April, just one month after his 16th birthday.

Don't know about you, but we feel incredibly old all of a sudden.
