Marseille's Patrice Evra spends time helping out the homeless

When Patrice Evra claims that he "loves this game" he really does mean it, with the defender keen to use his privileged position as a professional footballer to extend a helping hand to those most in need of it.

As such, the veteran left-back spent his Monday afternoon handing out food parcels to homeless people on the streets of Marseilles.

Evra also used the video to highlight the issue of homelessness in the French city.

"The sad part of my journey is that I found more than 12 homeless people in less than 30 minutes," the 36-year-old lamented on Instagram.
