AS Roma unveil 'velvet brown' third kit with woven camouflage pattern

AS Roma unveiled a dark third kit on Monday, complementing their red home look and white away strip with a kit that the club and supplier Nike are calling a "velvet brown."

The strip, which includes a subtle woven camouflage pattern, is accented with orange trim both on the shoulders and the end of the sleeves.

Orange stitching also flows down the sides of shirt and the club name is woven into the bottom in capital letters. The shorts are entirely dark brown except for the club badge and the supplier logo.

The design is similar to the home and away strips in that they all are primarily one color with a subtle woven pattern.

It also replaces Roma's third kit from a year ago -- a horizontally striped orange-and-yellow shirt -- and more closely resembles the all-black third look the club wore from 2007 through 2014.

Given the timing, it seems likely Roma will don the kit for the first time in the Champions League group stage, which begins this week.
