Portuguese side tempt Usain Bolt to join them with beer, eggs and burgers

With his gold-studded athletics career now officially over, the world's greatest athlete Usain Bolt is weighing up his options.

It's no secret that Bolt has long harboured dreams of playing professional football, having openly touted the idea of going on trial with Manchester United on several occasions in the past.

Unfortunately a free transfer to Burton Albion fell through this week, but there are still potential suitors out there in the football world who are interested in taking the Jamaican sprint legend on board.

Indeed, Portuguese club Beira-Mar have submitted a tantalising bid via their official Facebook page, offering to pay Bolt in beer, eggs and burgers.

As per the statement, Beira-Mar are keen to "fulfil the dreams of one of the best athletes of all time" by having him play "soccer by the seaside" in front of "the best fans in the world."

Other sweeteners include three steaks and three burgers a week (including sauce) from a local restaurant as well as a selection of local delicacies from the Aveiro region, including bifanas (pork sandwichs) and ovos moles (sweet egg confectionery).

The club are also throwing in one case of Imperial beer a week and a complimentary selfie stick for Bolt to record his various adventures around the city.

Honestly, we'd sign that contract in a heartbeat.
