Benfica will be able to boast a massive increase in star power next season with the news that Madonna will be spending a lot more time in the Portuguese capital.
That's because her 11-year-old adopted son David Banda is set to go on trial at the Benfica youth academy.
According to AS, Banda impressed coaches during a recent trial stint at the Centro de Seixal del Benfica training centre -- so much so that he was invited to join the club's Under-12 ranks.
As such, Madonna is now close to purchasing a mansion on the outskirts of Lisbon as plans to uproot and relocate her family from New York continue to unfold.
We're sure young David will get into the groove soon enough.
