Ahead of Arsenal's imminent preseason trip to Australia, the club put several of their players through an introductory course in the local slang.
The likes of Alex-Chamberlain, Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi, Olivier Giroud, Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil were all presented with a selection of Aussie dialect and asked to repeat them using the requisite accent.
Oxlade-Chamberlain sounds like a natural and Welbeck managed a decent approximation, but the rest of the squad struggled to grasp the proper Australian vernacular.
As for Mesut Ozil? Well, he was just left utterly bemused by the whole thing.
