Transfer Rater: Theo Walcott to Bournemouth, Kevin Gameiro to Swansea

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Tom Cairney to West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion are in talks with over a move for Fulham captain Cairney, according to the Daily Mirror. Alan Pardew's side are reportedly ready to launch a bid for the talented midfielder, who was a Newcastle United transfer target in the summer, with Fulham then rejecting a £20 million bid. West Brom aren't willing to pay that much though, and would only go up to £15m. While he was Fulham's best player last season, he hasn't quite replicated his form this term and has struggled with a knee injury. As the Championship side look to bring in a striker to bolster their promotion push, they could fund it by selling their captain.

Kevin Gameiro to Swansea City

Wales Online is reporting that Swansea have held talks with Atletico Madrid over moves for both Gameiro and Nicolas Gaitan. The Frenchman is more likely to join, with an out-and-out striker the priority and would cost around £25m. He will fall down the pecking order at the La Liga side after the return of Diego Costa from Chelsea.

Andrew Surman to Brighton and Hove Albion

Chris Hughton is keen on a reunion with Bournemouth midfielder Surman, according to HITC Sport. The Brighton boss worked with Surman at Norwich City. Since leaving Carrow Road in 2014, he has been a regular in the Bournemouth side, and Hughton reportedly sees his experience as key as he tries to strengthen his squad at the Amex Stadium.

Pedro Obiang to Fiorentina

Following on from reports in Corriere dello Sport last week that Obiang was a Fiorentina transfer target, Calciomercato claims that the Serie A club are insisting on signing the West Ham midfielder. Obiang played for Sampdoria before arriving in East London, but a return to Italy at the moment seems unlikely given he's been a key part of David Moyes' side since the Scotsman arrived at the London Stadium.

Theo Walcott to Bournemouth

According to The Sun, Walcott is no longer just a Southampton and Everton transfer target, but Bournemouth have joined the race for the Arsenal man too. The South Coast side have asked to take the 28-year-old on loan until the end of the season. Walcott is likely to leave the Emirates in January having failed to start a Premier League game this season, but, with Everton willing to pay £20m for Walcott, a move to the Merseyside club seems most likely at the moment.
