Transfer Rater: Richarlison to Arsenal, Boubakary Soumare to Man City

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Jason Cummings to Rangers

According to BBC Sport, Rangers are close to completing the signing of the Nottingham Forest striker. Cummings has not started for the club since November and his short stint in England, having only joined Forest from Hibernian in the summer, looks set to come to an end. New boss Aitor Karanka is looking to reshape his squad and doesn't see Cummings as a vital part of it moving forward.

Richarlison to Arsenal

Arsenal are about to lose Alexis Sanchez but they have players lined up to replace the Chilean forward. Bordeaux wide man Malcom is a top target while reports in Germany suggest Arsene Wenger wants to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the club. Yahoo Brazil are also reporting that Arsenal, along with Chelsea, are interested in signing Watford forward Richarlison during the summer window. The Brazilian only moved in July but has put in a number of eye-catching performances in the Premier League.

Boubakary Soumare to Manchester City

Reports in the Daily Mail claim City are monitoring Lille midfielder Soumare. The 18-year-old only joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer but is already making an impact. He's made seven appearances in all competitions for Lille already this season and Pep Guardiola has sent scouts to keep a close eye on the box-to-box midfielder.

Bouna Sarr to Leicester City

Claude Puel is looking to raid Ligue 1 again. Just days after securing the signature of Fousseni Diabate. The club have had a £2.5 million bid for Marseille utility man Sarr turned down. The 25-year-old is able to play anywhere down the right flank and the Daily Mail claim the 2015-16 Premier League champions will return with a revised offer.

Mathieu Debuchy to Saint Etienne

Debuchy is in talks to leave Arsenal this month and return to France. The 32-year-old made his intentions clear in December when he revealed he wanted to leave the club: "I want to leave, to find a new challenge in January." French outlet TF1 report that Saint Etienne are in talks with the former Newcastle United right-back ahead of a potential move this month.
