Transfer Rater: Arthur to Chelsea, Luke Shaw to Fenerbahce

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Tobias Figueiredo to Leeds United - 3.2

It has been reported in the Portuguese press the Championship club are ready to make a swoop for the 23-year-old centre-back. Figueiredo has yet to play in the league for Sporting this season, his time on the pitch limited to cup games and 13 minutes in the Champions League against Olympiakos. Capped a youth level by Portugal, the defender came through the ranks at Sporting, but now it looks he needs a move to kick-start his career. The Yorkshire club will have to pay around £3 million for his services.

Arthur to Chelsea - 2.8

The Brazilian midfielder is a suggested replacement for Cesc Fabgregas at Stamford Bridge, but the Premier League champions will have to fight Barcelona if they want to land Arthur in a deal worth £44m. He has just helped Gremio win the Copa Libertadores for the first time in 22 years and was then pictured with Barca executive Andre Curry wearing a Blaugrana shirt. The Brazilian club were not pleased with the 21-year-old, but admitted they were powerless if the Catalan club meet the reported release clause.

Moussa Dembele to Brighton - 2.2

A long time Spurs and Chelsea target, it has come as somewhat of a surprise to see Brighton linked with a move for the Celtic forward. Brighton have lack a goal-scoring presence this term, finding the net just 14 times. The Daily Mail suggest the Premier League club are ready to test Celtic's resolve with a £20m bid for Dembele. That ranks around £10m short of the Scottish club's valuation.

Luke Shaw to Fenerbahce - 2.2

A rumoured Tottenham target, Shaw is still apparently wanted by Fenerbahce in January. Jose Mourinho's stance on the left-back may have changed after his impressive performance against CSKA in the Champions League, but he is still unlikely to start in this weekend's derby against Manchester City. Shaw knows he needs football to secure a place in England's team for the World Cup. Fenerbahce or Tottenham could offer him that chance.

Andreas Christensen to Inter - 2.0

Inter Milan have taken an interest in the Danish defender. Press in Italy revealed Piero Ausilio, the Inter sporting director, was at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday for the game against Atletico Madrid. Christensen put in another impressive performance and with a contract running until 2020, it won't be easy to prise him away from west London.
