Transfer Rater: Christian Eriksen to Barcelona, Christian Benteke to Chelsea

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Christian Eriksen to Barcelona

Scouts from Barcelona reportedly took the opportunity to visit the Bernabeu on Tuesday night, not to watch rivals Real Madrid, but to run the rule over two transfer targets: Davinson Sanchez and Eriksen of Tottenham. According to Spanish outlet Sport, the club's technical director Robert Fernandez attended the game personally, and they believe that the Dane is an alternative to Philippe Coutinho who they have been trying to sign from Liverpool with little success. Eriksen has been impressive so far this season, and could fetch a large fee should he move.

Brahim Diaz to Inter Milan

Manchester City's talented Spanish youngster is reportedly attracting interest from the continent and from Italian Serie A side Inter in particular. Their sporting director, Piero Ausilio, was at the Etihad to watch City play Napoli on Tuesday night and Tuttosport, an Italian media outlet, are reporting that the club are using the fact they'll be able to offer the former Malaga youth player a quicker route to the first team than the one he faces in Manchester, in order to convince him to join them.

Julian Weigl to Juventus

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Weigl is attracting interest from a number of clubs in Europe, and is gradually becoming one of the most in demand players on the continent. Calcio News 24 are reporting that Juventus are the latest side to show interest in the 22-year-old, and could move for him as early as January in an attempt to beat others to his signature.

Ruben Vinagre to Everton

The Merseyside club are looking for competition for Leighton Baines at left-back and have identified the Monaco teenager, currently on loan at Wolves, as an ideal candidate for the role. With Baines reaching his mid-30s, and few other left-back options at the club, Ronald Koeman's side will move for the 18-year-old Portuguese according to the Daily Mail, as they look for a long-term replacement.

Christian Benteke to Chelsea

Antonio Conte is seeking an alternative to Alvaro Morata, with the Italian apparently not trusting current back-up striker, Michy Batshuayi, to fill the role. Instead they will look to the 24-year-old's compatriot Benteke, currently at Crystal Palace, to provide an alternative to their star striker. The Telegraph report that Batshuayi would be allowed to leave on loan, indicating that he could be part of any deal to bring a new striker in.
