Transfer Rater: Aurier to Manchester United, Coutinho to Barcelona

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Andrea Belotti to AC Milan

Milan have intensified their pursuit of Belotti after missing out on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alvaro Morata. Borussia Dortmund have said the striker is no longer for sale, while Morata opted to move to Chelsea. Sky Sports News now expect Vincenzo Montella to return to Torino with a more attractive offer. They initially bid £35 million plus M'Baye Niang and Gabriel Paletta but that was turned down. It is believed Belotti's club want closer to £55m as well Manuel Locatelli included in the deal alongside Naing and Paletta.

Serge Aurier to Manchester United

According to the Independent, United have shelved plans to bring Fabinho to Old Trafford, for now, with Monaco playing hardball over the sale of their versatile captain. They have instead turned their attentions towards Aurier. The Paris Saint-Germain right-back is available this summer after the Parisians pipped Manchester City to the signing of Dani Alves. The 24-year-old would likely cost £20m and would challenge Antonio Valencia for the right-back role.

Riyad Mahrez to Tottenham

Spurs have asked Leicester to keep them informed of any developments regarding Mahrez's future. The winger is a transfer target for Arsenal, but the £50m valuation placed on him has put potential suitors off. Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the Algerian according to the Evening Standard, and could make a move for the 26-year-old.

Blaise Matuidi to Everton

L'Equipe claim Everton are one of three Premier League clubs interested in the services of Matuidi. Juventus are keen on the French midfielder but the riches of England could sway him. Despite summer upgrades throughout the squad, Ronald Koeman is still in the market for a midfielder with Gareth Barry and James McCarthy linked with moves away. Both Manchester clubs would challenge Everton for the signature of the 30-year-old but neither could offer the first team football Koeman can.

Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona

Barcelona have made it known that they are prepared to pay £72m to bring Coutinho the Camp Nou. Liverpool, however, have rejected the proposal and claim the player is not for sale at any price. Liverpool have history when it comes to selling a star player the season after finishing in the Premier League's top four having done so in 2009 with Xabi Alonso and 2014 with Luis Suarez.
