Manchester City will try to remain atop the Premier League table when they welcome Crystal Palace, who have lost all five league games this season, to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
City, unbeaten in seven games in all competitions, have won four times and drawn once in the Premier League thus far, leaving them joint top with Manchester United on 16 points.
They have won nine of their last 10 Premier League games against Palace and 13 of 14 games in all competitions, dating to March 16, 2002. The only time Palace claimed a victory was on April 6, 2015, a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park.
City have also lost just once in their past 24 league games at the Etihad -- a 3-1 defeat against Chelsea on Dec. 3, 2016.
Sergio Aguero, who earlier this season became the Premier League's all-time leading scorer among players born outside of Europe, has scored four goals for City in his last two league games -- including a hat trick against Watford on Sept. 16.
The Argentina international has scored 127 goals in the competition. Should he score against Palace, he would move past Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and into third place for the most goals scored in the Premier League by non-English players. And if he were to score twice, he would equal Eric Brook's club record of 175 goals in all competitions, set in 1939.
City's Gabriel Jesus has scored four goals in his last three Premier League games, giving him 11 goals in 15 games in the competition since making his debut on Jan. 21.
David Silva, who has yet to score a goal this season, has four goals in six Premier League appearances against Crystal Palace.
Palace are the first team to lose and fail to score in each of their first five games of an English top-flight league season. The only other time a team has lost their first six games in a Premier League season was in 2009-10, when Portsmouth ended up finishing last and were relegated.
Roy Hodgson, hired to replace Frank de Boer on Sept. 12, will again try to pick up his first Premier League victory. Hodgson, the former England manager, failed in his first attempt against Southampton on Sept. 16 but helped Palace earn a 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town in a third-round English League Cup game on Sept. 19.
