Kane rips Liverpool defence apart to top Player Power Rankings

ESPN FC's worldwide editorial desks nominate their top performers from the weekend's action. Tottenham's talisman Harry Kane is this week's No. 1.

1. Harry Kane | Tottenham Hotspur

Why he's here: The Premier League's leading scorer added two goals and an assist to his season totals as Spurs throttled Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley on Sunday.

2. Sami Khedira | Juventus

Why he's here: The 30-year-old midfielder scored his first senior hat trick -- with two of the goals coming after Juve had been reduced to 10 men -- in Sunday's 6-2 trouncing of Udinese.

3. Goncalo Guedes | Valencia

Why he's here: The 20-year-old loanee from Paris Saint-Germain scored twice and added an assist as Valencia kept up their superb start to the season with a 4-0 demolition of Sevilla on Saturday.

4. Mesut Ozil | Arsenal

Why he's here: The 27-year-old Italy international scored twice in Lazio's 3-0 victory over Cagliari to move three goals clear atop Serie A's scoring charts.

7. Memphis Depay | Lyon

Why he's here: Depay deposited a hat trick as Lyon ran out 5-0 winners at Troyes on Sunday.

8. Edinson Cavani | Paris Saint-Germain

Why he's here: PSG looked set to fall in Le Classique for the first time in nearly six years, until Cavani delivered a phenomenal free kick three minutes into stoppage time to earn Les Parisiens a 2-2 draw at the Velodrome on Sunday.

9. Luiz Gustavo | Marseille

Why he's here: The 30-year-old Brazilian effectively blunted PSG's attack throughout Le Classique, notched a goal himself and looked as though he'd led Marseille to a famous victory -- until Cavani struck.

10. Leroy Sane | Manchester City

Why he's here: A goal and an assist in the win over Burnley give the 21-year-old five goals and four assists in nine Premier League appearances this season.
