Bayern Munich's Niko Kovac on Stuttgart win: 'That looked really good'

Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac said he was delighted with the team's 3-0 win at Stuttgart.

New signing Leon Goretzka got his first goal for the club, before Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller completed the scoring.

"That looked really good, I'd like to congratulate my team on it," Kovac told the club's website. "I'm fully satisfied.

"All four of our competitive fixtures so far have been good. The team turned in a really good display today, around 12 corners to Stuttgart's zero in an away match, lots of possession, they created promising chances."

Muller gave some insight into Kovac's methods after the game, explaining how it takes a team effort to win.

"We always approach matches really seriously," he added. "On the one hand it's a matter of the right mentality, on the other hand we prepare well.

"Niko Kovac is very logical in his demands, be it about the centre-backs moving forward or the full-backs moving towards the centre. It comes down to small details and everyone has to perform in light of the competition in our squad. That's why we turn in such committed performances."
