Before you set your La Liga lineup in ESPN Fantasy Soccer, we deliver the stats and trends you need to know about players from around Spain's top flight.

Matchweek 6

Atlético Madrid vs. Huesca

While Atlético have scored five goals in as many league games this season, Huesca have lost three straight games and allowed 11 goals on the road this season, most among teams in Europe's top-5 leagues.

That means Atlético's star French forward, Antoine Griezmann, is a solid choice as a tier 1 forward. He leads Atleti in shots (14), assists (3) and chances created (14).

For a Tier 1 midfielder, Koke is heavily involved on offense. Among 31 players to complete at least 50 passes per game this season, only Lionel Messi (4.0) and Éver Banega (2.2) have created more chances per game than Koke (1.8). With the scoring system how it is, Koke will receive points for passes completed while still having the possibility of creating or scoring.

Although Atlético have yet to score a headed goal this season, they lead La Liga with 10 chances created from corner kicks. Consider defender Diego Godín as a strong contender to boost your point total from the back line, should the Uruguayan be able to capitalize on his prowess as an aerial threat and score a goal in front of the home crowd.

Leganés vs. Barcelona

Leganés are winless in La Liga this season, losing four of their five matches, but they are also winless in four games all-time vs Barcelona.

Therefore, expect a lot of shots to come from Barcelona as the team leads La Liga in shots taken this season with 99. Naturally, captain Lionel Messi is a viable option, even playing on the road. Messi averages 28.7 fantasy points per league game this season, most among players in Europe's top-5 leagues to play multiple games.

Another option as a Tier 1 midfielder is Philippe Coutinho. He did not start Barcelona's last game against Girona. In 32 minutes against Girona, he took 4 shots, picked up a chance created and 4 ball recoveries. He'll likely start against Leganés.

Sevilla vs. Real Madrid

Madrid defender Marcelo continues to show why he is considered one of the best offensive outside defenders in the world. The Brazilian is tied for the team lead with 7 chances created in La Liga and fourth-most by any defender in the league.

Only four teams have allowed more than Sevilla's five goals against in open play while only Barcelona (10) has scored more goals from open play than Real Madrid. Lopetegui's side is also facing a short week as it will have to travel back to Madrid to face Atlético at the Santiago Bernabéu just three days later.

Alavés vs. Getafe

Getafe have kept three clean sheets and only allowed four goals, but all four goals came against Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid.

With that in mind, Alavés has been one of the most efficient teams shooting, one of four LaLiga teams with a conversion percentage at or above 40 percent, alongside Real Madrid, Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao.

Ibai Gómez, who leads the team in scoring with three goals, is a solid Tier 2 midfielder option. He is tied for the team lead in shots taken with 10 and is second in chances created with six. Most notably, he also has 32 ball recoveries. Gómez is one of six players in Europe's top-5 leagues with at least three goals and 30 ball recoveries.

Matchweek 7

Barcelona vs. Athletic Bilbao

This Saturday, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid will go head-to-head, and I would avoid that matchup at all costs. This should downgrade those players for you in this double matchweek. However, Barcelona have a pair of good matchups, so look to their forwards instead.

Messi has scored 15 career league goals against Bilbao, one of 10 teams he has done that against. However, he is averaging a goal every 119 minutes, his fourth-highest against a La Liga team he's played at least 10 times.

Ousmane Dembélé has scored five goals in all competitions this season, second behind Messi's 8. In 24 games last season, Dembélé scored four times. Dembélé is still creating, second on the team in chances created with 15 behind Messi's 32.

Suárez is off to a bit of a slow start, scoring three goals on 27 shots. Suárez has scored five times in five games against Athletic Bilbao, so he has a solid record against them.

Also, Bilbao have yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Barcelona will score.

Levante vs. Alavés

This matchup has a high potential of having a high score. Levante has allowed 104 shots this season, the only La Liga team with 100-plus shots allowed. Alavés has allowed 76 shots, fourth-most among La Liga teams.

Not only are both teams allowing shots at a high volume, both teams are scoring goals. Both Levante and Alavés have scored eight goals this season in LaLiga, tied for fifth-most behind Barcelona (16), Real Madrid (12), Sevilla and Celta Vigo (both 10).

Most notably, in 10 combined games, both teams have kept a combined three clean sheets. Expect goals.
