Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Sterling Shepard (3:05 p.m.): While his status seemed to be leaning toward playing today, Shepherd has indeed ended up as an inactive for the Giants for Week 7. Roger Lewis and Tavarres King are the WRs that Eli Manning will be throwing to against the Seahawks.

Melvin Gordon (3 p.m.): As expected, Gordon is active for this afternoon's game. However, in a bit of a surprise, his backup, Branden Oliver, is on the Chargers' inactive list. WR Keenan Allen is also active for Los Angeles.

Reuben Foster (2:40 p.m.): The rookie linebacker, who's been out of action since Week 1, will be starting today for the 49ers. Foster's presence on the roster was a big reason behind the team's decision to part ways with NaVorro Bowman, so expectations here are high.

Adrian Peterson (11:45 a.m.): With Andre Ellington inactive for Week 7, expect to see Peterson get at least 25 touches for the Cardinals, as per coach Bruce Arians.

Chris Ivory (11:15 a.m.): ESPN Insider Adam Schefter now reports that Leonard Fournette is inactive today and that the Jaguars plan to start Ivory at running back. Corey Grant and T.J. Yeldon should also see some action.

Willie Snead (11 a.m.): ESPN's Dianna Russini reports that the Saints will be without the receiver for their game against Green Bay. Bump up both Ted Ginn Jr. and Michael Thomas by a little bit in your rankings.

Jordan Matthews (10:40 a.m.): ESPN's Jeff Darlington reports that the Bills will get Matthews back today, though the receiver will "wear a splint over glove to stabilize [his] thumb."

C.J. Prosise (10 a.m.): Even if he does end up taking the field today, Prosise may not be able to play on more than just a few snaps. It's best to avoid the back entirely for fantasy. If you must roll the dice with a Seattle RB, go with J.D. McKissic instead.

Jay Ajayi (7:20 a.m.): The Jets are thinking about giving Muhammad Wilkerson a week off to heal multiple injuries. If he sits, his presence against the run will be missed and the Miami backfield, most notably Ajayi, should benefit greatly.

Adam Schefter's overnight update (7:15 a.m.): The Jaguars are "not optimistic" that Leonard Fournette will be able to play today. Andre Ellington is also looking more like an inactive. Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen will play, sources told Schefter, as will Kelvin Benjamin, Delanie Walker and DeMarco Murray.

Official Sunday inactives should begin coming in at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET for the early games, 2:30 p.m. ET for the late games and 7 p.m. ET for the Sunday night game.
