Week 6 of China's League of Legends Pro League was a continuation of everything that had come before, as little changed in the standings over the course of the week. Instead, most teams solidified their current positions in the rankings, for better or worse.
Invictus Gaming's (10-1) reign of terror continued throughout the Eastern Conference after it took down Bilibili Gaming (6-5) in spectacular fashion halfway through the week. iG's lead over the rest of the pack has been slipping in recent weeks, however, as the Rogue Warriors (8-2) are hot on its heels and picked up a victory of its own early in the week. Said victory was, however, against Vici Gaming (1-10), the punching bag of the LPL, and thus does little to make a case for the Rogue Warriors, who have yet to defeat iG head-to-head. Royal Never Give Up (7-4) also picked up an important win against EDward Gaming (7-4) this week that secured its hold on third place in the East, a position that it's likely to maintain now that Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao has finally returned to the squad.
The Western Conference is in no less of a stranglehold, however, as Snake Esports (9-2) earned another two match wins over the course of the week, catapulting it to a full two match lead over EDward Gaming, its nearest rival. While it certainly is the less visually impressive of the two top Chinese teams, its consistent play has thus far kept a horde of dangerous teams at bay, as both EDward Gaming and Team WE (7-5), two of China's representatives at Worlds 2017, have been nipping at its heels for the entirety of the season. Team WE in particular has been on the rise in recent weeks, and it earned another two match wins this week, which helped keep pace with Snake, if not close the gap.
