The Dallas Fuel have mutually parted ways with Félix "xQc" Lengyel following the player's second suspension from the Overwatch League, the team announced on Sunday. On Friday, the league issued a four-game suspension to xQc starting Monday, and fined him an additional $4,000 for multiple social media violations and "disparaging language." XQc also stated that the casters for the Overwatch League were "cancer" earlier in March. "There are few players out there who have achieved as much success in as short a time as Félix has in competitive Overwatch," Fuel owner Mike Rufail said in a released statement. "Ultimately, it was in the best interest of our organization and Félix to part ways before the expiration of his contract. No one wants to see Félix succeed more than we do, and we believe he has a bright future ahead of him. I want to thank him for his time and the passion he brought to the Dallas Fuel." XQc stated last week that he would likely step down from the Fuel as result of this punishment. He had previously been suspended for four games and fined $2,000 for making anti-gay remarks about fellow Overwatch League player Austin "Muma" Wilmot in January. The Fuel added Min-seok "OGE" Son to its roster on Thursday. OGE will be eligible to compete in the Overwatch League beginning April 4, the start of the third stage of the league. The addition was made in light of potential punishment against xQc and Timo "Taimou" Kettunen, according to esports journalist Rod Breslau. Taimou also used anti-gay slurs on his stream in January and was also fined $1,000 by the league.
