Invictus Gaming swiftly took down EDward Gaming in a 2-0 sweep on Thursday during Week 10, Day 1 of the League of Legend Pro League in Shanghai.

This was a series that didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things, as Invictus and EDward have both secured playoff berths. It was certainly a chance for one of these teams to keep its momentum heading into the postseason next week, however. At least on Thursday, IG was vastly superior in most aspects of the game and walked away with the win.

The first game of the series was a bit of a slow burn, with the teams staying relatively even during the early game. There were just four kills between the two teams in the first 29 minutes of the game, but then IG exploded out of nowhere with seven kills in the final minute to secure the 30-minute win. EDG seemed spurred by the loss and came out firing in Game 2, taking a lead for the majority of the time. All it took was one big teamfight win for IG around 22 minutes, however, to flip the game on its head. Simply put, IG teamfought EDG into submission, securing a whopping 14 kills in the final eight minutes of the game to finish off the 29-minute game.

While the entirety of IG played well this series, a few names stood out above the rest. Jungler Ge "Kid" Yan's Explosive Casks with his Gragas in Game 2 helped initiate fights for his team in Game 2, while mid laner Song "RooKie" Eui Jin's Syndra brought the damage in droves to lend a hand in finishing off the fights. AD carry Chen "West" Long, who tallied an impeccable 11/4/11 KDA across the series, was also an impactful player, accounting a ridiculous 41 percent of his team's kills in the series. With so many members of the team performing so well, there was simply nothing EDG could do to prevent this trouncing.
