The real-life Ginny Baker is out there somewhere. Perhaps she's on the USA women's baseball team, which last month lost to Canada in the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup bronze-medal game. Perhaps she's already playing with an independent league team. Or perhaps she's even younger. University of Missouri hitting coach Matt Lisle found and shared a video of a 9-year-old girl showing off her pitching mechanics Thursday night. As of Sunday morning, it had 1.21 million views on Twitter. And thanks to the slo-mo, one thing is certain: She can throw. Then a fun thing happened. The official MLB Twitter account replied. Then Rob Friedman, who breaks down the ins and outs of pitching from his stellar account @PitchingNinja, weighed in. And former Cy Young winner and World Series champion Orel Hershiser chimed in, saying he's also a fan. Then, something even more amazing happened. Other people began posting videos and photos of their daughters playing baseball. And this is why the internet can sometimes be good. Throwing like a girl means bringing the heat. And we're here for it.
