'Hopefully it's all upwards from here' - Prajnesh (1:27)

India's Prajnesh Gunneswaran wins bronze in men's single tennis. (1:27)

The second Sunday of the Asian Games sees India pull out their big guns in terms of medal hopes. With 11 medals in track and field at stake, India will look to have Hima Das, Muhammed Anas and Dutee Chand in the fray. Other key events include the final day of both golf and shooting, boxing, badminton, and a first look at Gold Coast's brightest spark, Manika Batra.

Men's golf looks to bring home fourth gold

India's Aadil Bedi has been in medal contention in the men's individual event since the first two rounds, despite a slight dip in performance on Saturday. Rayhan Thomas has upped his game since the first round, and with Kshitij Kaul also providing moments of inspiration on the greens, India go into the final day of golf hoping to add to their three golf gold medals -- Laxman Singh's individual and team double from 1982, and Shiv Kapur's individual gold 16 years ago in Busan.

Women's individual round 4: 4:30 AM onwards

Men's individual round 4: 5:03 AM onwards

A first look at Manika

Table-tennis was India's unexpected success story at the Commonwealth Games in April, but the competition for medals will be much stiffer here. The women, led by Manika Batra, are drawn in Group A with China, Qatar and Iran, and should back themselves to make the quarterfinals. The men play UAE and Chinese Taipei on Sunday, and will still need to negotiate matches next week with Vietnam and Macau to ensure a top-two finish to advance.

Women's team group stages: India v Qatar, 8:30 AM onwards; India v China, 12:30 PM onwards; India v Iran, 4:30 PM onwards

Men's team group stages: India v UAE, 2:30 PM onwards; India v Chinese Taipei, 6:30 PM onwards

Saina and Sindhu look to stay on course for dream final

It sounds a bit presumptuous, especially with the top Japanese and Chinese players still in the draw, but if the draw pans out, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu will collide in the gold medal clash of the women's singles on August 28. Before that, they need to negotiate their quarterfinals, while managing their workload in the business end of the competition, when both finalists will play four games on successive days.

Women's singles quarterfinals: 11:30 AM onwards

Last day of shooting

The first day of skeet qualification hasn't gone well for the Indian contingent -- Sheeraz Sheikh and Angad Bajwa (men) or Rashmi Rathore and Ganemat Sekhon (women). If they can raise their game, they can hope to sign off in Palembang with a double-digit medals tally in shooting.

Women's skeet final: 12:30 PM onwards

Boxing stars eye quarterfinals

Manoj Kumar had to scrap hard in the men's 69kg round of 32 against a little-heralded opponent from Bhutan, and that sums up the level of competition the Indians can hope to face in boxing. Sunday sees the first glimpse of Olympian Shiva Thapa, and 2014 world championship silver medallist Sarjubala Devi in the women's 51kg category, in which India won gold in Incheon through MC Mary Kom.

Manoj Kumar, men's 69kg round of 16: 2:15 PM onwards

Sarjubala Devi, women's 51kg round of 16: 3 PM onwards

Shiva Thapa, men's 60 kg round of 16: 6 PM onwards

Hima's tryst with destiny

While India have a storied history in athletics at the Asian Games, no woman has won the 400m gold since PT Usha in 1986, and Hima Das will be hoping to change that on Sunday, when India will potentially be in medal contention in five of the 11 events. Dutee Chand should also fancy a podium finish in the women's 100m, while junior Asian Championship medallist M Sreeshankar will eye silverware in the men's long jump.

Men's long jump final, women's 400m final, men's 400m final, men's 10000m final, women's 100m final: 5:10 PM onwards
