Uganda Rugby Cranes beat Zimbabwe 10-7 to defend their rugby sevens Africa title and qualify for the World Cup in San Francisco next year.

A late try by Adrian Kasito helped the Cranes clinch the narrow win at the Legends Sports Ground in Kampala.

While Zimbabwe were in the lead, they failed to capitalize with the extra man after Uganda's Pius Ogena got his marching orders following a high tackle in their closely contested encounter.

The hard work is all but done for Uganda as they now prepare to make their first appearance at the Sevens Rugby World Cup next year - while runners-up Zimbabwe will also feature at the world showpiece.
