Ousmane Junior Sylla named Burkinbe Player of the Year 2016-17

CS Constantine new boy Ousmane Junior Sylla was named the Burkinabe top flight Player of the Season for the 2016-17 campaign.

The Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) have revealed that Ousmane Junior Sylla has won the Burkinabe Player of the Year award for the 2016-17 campaign.

The midfielder, who recently left Rail Club du Kadiogo to sign a three-year deal with Algerian top flight team CS Constantine, received the prize at an awards ceremony this weekend.

26-year-old Sylla was voted Player of the Season by coaches of top and second division clubs, with several other key performers in the Burkinabe top flight also honoured for their performances last season.

Salam Kagambega of Union Sportive des Forces Armees was awarded the Golden Boot after top scoring in the first division last season with 12 goals, while the FBF also named their Team of the Season for the 2016-17 campaign.
