Roundball chatter: Missouri is loading up

Each week, I'll write about the sport I love: college basketball:

  • The future is bright at Missouri. New Tigers coach Cuonzo Martin received more good news when Jontay Porter, the younger brother of Michael Porter Jr., reclassified and became eligible for the upcoming season. Jontay, at 6-foot-11, played with his brother on two high school state championship teams.

  • Tulane is currently on a trip to Spain. It is taking place during the 25-year anniversary of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games, which were held in Barcelona. The Games marked the first time NBA players -- the Dream Team -- were able to compete.

  • Duke signed Tre Jones to its 2018 class. He is the brother of former Blue Devil Tyus Jones.

  • Oklahoma Diaper Dandy Trae Young scored at least 20 points in all four games of an exhibition tour of Australia and New Zealand. The Sooners went 4-0 on the trip.

  • Monmouth gave coach King Rice a contract extension. The former Tar Heel guard has done a nice job with Monmouth.
