Cricket

The Namibian Cricket Board will host the New Zealand cricket team for two limited overs games.

"The ICC initiative to get Test Playing Nations to visit countries on the High Performance Program on route to fixtured matches is assisting the teams in Africa tremendously", said the RDM.

The two matches will be played on Saturday and Sunday (30 and 31 July 2005).

Laurie Pieters, President of the NCB said, "The NCB is truly honoured and blessed to have all these teams visiting in Namibia. The England Tour last year assisted not only the team, but increased the awareness of cricket in Namibia"

After this short visit, New Zealand, will continue on to Zimbabwe for their scheduled matches.
