Records tumble after Auckland witnesses boundary barrage

In 38.5 overs at Eden Park, New Zealand and Australia pillaged a phenomenal 488 runs, with the visitors setting a new record by pulling off the highest successful T20 chase. Naturally, by the end of it, a slew of records were rewritten. Here are the statistical highlights from the Auckland run-fest.

0 Instances of a higher target chased by a team in all T20s. The previous highest chase in T20Is belonged to West Indies , against South Africa at the Wanderers, and the highest for Australia in T20Is was 205 against South Africa, also at the Wanderers, in 2016.
