It was around this time during England's last Ashes tour to Australia that their detailed, 82-page cookbook got leaked to the media. Many of those dishes had exotic ingredients that would have made a Michelin three-star restaurant proud, compiled with intricate attention to detail and keeping in mind the fitness requirements of England's touring party. The Australian media, expectedly, were all over it, devoting reams of newsprint and digital real estate to describe every last detail on the long recipe book. Former players from both sides slammed the ECB's high-end requirements, talking about how things were different during their time... and England, of course, went on to get cooked 5-0 by Mitchell Johnson and co in the Ashes.
