It's been a stunning evening, another brilliant day. Who needs to tinker with this competition eh? Actually, don't answer that.

9.47pm Worcestershire's players step up to receive their medals before Moeen Ali takes the stage. Quite the venue for him to lift the trophy, the club where it all began for him. "It's my home innit," he says. "I was delighted, I was calm inside, I just knew we were going to win today."

"The quarter-final at home was a tough one mentally, and we won the crucial moments today. You try to give everything and show why you play international cricket. Credit goes to Bumpy Rhodes who brought these guys up."

9.39pm Time for some presentations.

Luke Wright: "We knew we were under-par, they bowled outstandingly. Credit to Worcestershire, they outplayed us. Our spinners were brilliant all tournament, Danny Briggs goes under the radar. I'm hugely proud of the boys, but unfortunately there has to be a loser."

"Both clubs are trying to do it the right way, bring young English players through. Days like this have to be good for the future if they want to play for England."

The Player of the Match is Ben Cox for his superb 46, and he was MoM in the semi too: "It's taken us 15 years to get here," he says. "Credit goes to those bowlers, 158 won it in the first half. Mo said this morning, Lancashire were simply in our way this morning, we were geared to the final. To do it out there, on the big stage like this, I'm just chuffed. Two performances, two Man of the Matches, I can't take it in. Browny's been outstanding in the whole comp, one of the finest death bowlers in the country and at 19-20 he's our go-to bowler."

Can we expect more from Worcestershire? "We've been building this for years now, this isn't just luck."

9.33pm Sweet Caroline is back, as Worcestershire bounce around with the Sky Sports selfie stick. And now Moeen gathers them round for a captain's chat. Can't imagine what needed saying there, but he's been a mighty leader today, with bat and ball.

Arf: "What a fantastic match! Watching from Bangladesh, 2:30 am the night before a working day, absolutely worth every minute of it. Couldn't be happier (especially with BD winning earlier). It's a shame the Blast doesn't have the same level of hype as the IPL, or even the BBL or CPL. Congratulations Worcs! Congratulations Moeen, Patty Brown, Ben Cox and all the others. Well deserved victory!"

Ed Barnard: "We've worked so hard for this, had a tough year in red-ball, but not a lot of people expected us to win this. We've never been here so didn't know what to expect, but the whole crowd has been amazing. Ben Cox has been brilliant all season and shown us what he can do with the bat. Moeen is so brilliant, so calm, so much belief in it. He's amazing."

Ben Cox: "Some days are good days, some days are bad days ... we won that in the first half. We grew up together, most of us, and have played a long time together. We'll enjoy a beer tonight and soak it in. We're never going to forget it."

9.30pm Absolute scenes as Pat Brown, one of the chief architects of Worcestershire's glory, leaps clean into the crowd to party with his mates.

9.27pm Handshakes all round, but hats off to Ben Cox ... a nerveless performance, taking his side deep into the chase before sealing it in a flurry! The youngest team in the competition, the first-time visitors to Finals Day, and they've seen off the best attack in the competition to win it.

Acey: "Watching Bumble sing along with the crowd while Nas just stands there judging everyone is probably the greatest thing I've ever seen"
