Scotland 161 for 3 (Berrington 49*, Munsey 46, Coetzer 42) beat Netherlands 160 for 6 (Baressi 53*, O'Dowd 31, Evans 2-32) by seven wickets

Another commanding opening stand between Kyle Coetzer, the captain, and George Munsey helped Scotland secure a comfortable seven-wicket win over Netherlands at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen.

It means the winner of Wednesday's final tri-series fixture between the two sides will clinch the title, although Netherlands can lift the cup even with a tie.

Chasing 161, Scotland's top three all passed 40 for the second match in a row; this time it came in a winning effort. The 74-run stand ended in the sixth over when Coetzer fell for a 20-ball 42. The heavy lifting by Coetzer and Munsey (46 off 29 balls) meant nearly 50% of the target had been wiped out in the first six overs, with Scotland needing just 85 from there on.

Richie Berrington, who batted at No. 6 against Ireland two days earlier, came in ahead of the in-form Calum MacLeod, and the move paid off as he finished 49 not out. This included a winning boundary, his ninth of the match.

Netherlands' innings was anchored by Wesley Barresi's somewhat slow half-century that came at barely better than a run a ball. From 81 for 1 in nine overs, Netherlands just about managed to nearly double their score despite playing most of the innings with wickets in hand.

Alasdair Evans and Safyaan Sharif pinned down the Netherlands middle order at the death, combining for two wickets and a run out off the final seven balls to prevent a late surge.

Two days after allowing just six runs off the final over against Ireland to produce a tie, Sharif conceded just eight in the 20th against the Netherlands, ensuring the platform was set for the visitors for a win in the chase.
