So the class between the two teams showed in the end. Bates and Watkin set out to attack the Irish bowling and that's what they did. Ireland tried 6 bowlers in the 11 overs and yet none of them were spared the punishment. Watkin had a debut that she is unlikely to forget, top scoring on 77*, although it was fitting that Suzie Bates hit the winning runs to finish the game.
