At the end of the day, Bangladesh made it home with 10 balls to spare. Recording their first ever ODI win over New Zealand outside of Bangladesh. In a game of big 2nd wicket partnerships, Bangladesh has their own between Tamim and Sabbir. Despite a mid-innings wobble, both Mushfiqur and Mahmudullah played beautifully to steady the ship and set the team on the road to victory.
Taking wickets was what slowed down the New Zealand innings, yet the their bowlers couldn't take the wickets to do the same to the Bangladeshi team.
With the win today Bangladesh climb ahead of Sri Lanka in the one day rankings. Too make today even more special for the fans that came to the ground today.
Mushfiqur Rahim has just been named Man of the Match. Tom Latham has just been named man of the series.
New Zealand finish top of the pile with 12 points, beating Bangladesh by two points to claim the Tri-Series trophy. Hopefully this series will have whetted your appetite for the Champions Trophy to come.
